Creativity without limits, inspiration beyond ordinary
Vassiliki Theodorakidi-Mamona, awarded artist with international activity and director of Thyreos Vassiliki Art and Jewellery House, draws her inspiration by the legacy of the past and brings it to the present, following an innovative artistic quest. Her exhibitions are often presented in ancient theaters, art houses and appropriate formed spaces as Works of Synthesis of the Arts along with sculptures, holographic projections, music, acting etc., with the participation of important personalities of the arts and academia, politics and religion. During these manifold events, one can view the deep effect of human’s bygone forms of expression in contemporary art, as well as the interactions between global civilizations. Thus, a journey through time is realized, provoking intense feelings to the viewer, who is led to experience the philosophy “History as Art”. The results of this quest, unique creations and strictly collectible art pieces, are often selected for special events and luxury auctions by exceptional collectors (eg. Monaco under the auspicies of HSH Prince Albert II, Alisher Usmanov for FIE), or offered as particular PR gifts on the level of Heads of State and VIP (Prime Ministers, national leaders etc.).
Vassiliki along with her artistic activity specializes in exquisite totally hand-crafted art jewellery creations of innovative design. Thyreos Vassiliki jewellery have been distinguished and awarded multiple times, as well as selected by famous Hollywood designers to be part of Hollywood productions of historical theme. Pure gold and precious stones are combined, under the philosophy “Jewellery as Art”. Vassiliki jewellery collections, consist of two component parts. The one satisfies the human aesthetic needs by using precious materials and exquisite craftsmanship techniques, while the other stimulates the spirit, revealing messages and symbolisms coming from history or mythology, giving to the soulless object a conceptual background.
Vassiliki counts numerous exhibitions worldwide (New York, Las Vegas, Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing, Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc.) and has been awarded for her manifold activity and innovative spirit. "Thyreos" is the coat of arms of Vassiliki's family. The origins of the Byzantine family of Vassiliki reach back to the 13th century AD (1248AD). Being one of the noble families of Greece, Mamonas family was keeping strong relations with the East during the Byzantine period, by holding the monopoly of gold and silk of that era.
